ARCHAIC AGE 800bc-500bc
The Archaic age started around the 8th century BC, when Corinth, Thebes, and Athens city's started to grow in numbers. During this time, Greek swords were produced out of copper and bronze. The bronze sword was used in the Trojan War. The types and names of copper and bronze swords were Aor, Chalos, and Phasganon. The phasganon was a sword that was doubled edged and used by foot soldiers and nobles. |
